My name is Steve Honer and I’m the owner of Fresh start Painting. I started my painting company in Arizona during the construction boom of 2005. Just as soon as I launched my painting business I was called to active duty with the U.S. Navy. Upon my return to Arizona I discovered that the construction industry had crashed and with it demand for painting services. Although it has been a struggle, Fresh Start Painting has managed to remain in business. Our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction. Please keep in mind that you get what you pay for when it comes to painting companies. At Fresh Start Painting we are not the most expensive, but we are not the cheapest and it shows.
Our Steps to A Beautiful Interior Paint Job:
Set Up
- Rooms and areas to be painted are scheduled with the customer
- Customer removes all small furniture and breakables
- Fresh Start Painting will move large furniture into the center of the room
when specified on the contract
- Wall and ceiling fixtures are removed
- Furniture is covered with plastic or canvas drop cloths
- Floors are covered with drop cloths/plastic and base boards are taped off to ensure a clean line.
Prep
- Holes and cracks in walls are filled
- Stains, such as water marks, are sealed
- Washing is done where required
Painting
- Paint is applied with a brush or roller depending on the surface
- Ceiling and walls are painted to proper coverage and finish color
- Clean cut lines between trim & walls
- Only premium quality paints are used such as Dunn Edwards and ICI Paints
Clean-Up
- Furniture is moved back to original positions
- Wall and ceiling fixtures are replaced
- Floors and carpets are thoroughly vacuumed and swept
- All garbage is removed
- Touch-up paint is labeled and left with the customer
Inspection
- First the crew will do a final inspection on their own to ensure that all work is complete
- Second the crew will ask the customer to inspect the job and any areas of concern will
be noted on a 'punch list'
Final Step
- The final step is for the customer to sign off on the job as to its completeness and
submit the final payment
The end result? Our customers do not release the final payment until the job is complete as promised.
